Karvaren
A small woodcraft studio in Sweden
Karvaren is a personal project, a place where carving meets history.
I make rustic wooden items inspired by Viking-era symbolism, folklore, and the raw beauty of natural materials.
Each piece is individually made, never mass-produced, and carries a story: sometimes rooted in old Norse traditions, other times shaped by fantasy and imagination.
This site isn’t a shop. It’s simply a place to share the process, the ideas behind the craft, and the passion for a world that once was or could have been.
Craft meets tradition
Explore the beauty of handmade woodwork
Karvaren pieces are influenced by Nordic mythology, runes, and the ancient relationship between humans and wood.
Whether it’s a candle holder, a wall shelf, or a strange figure from forgotten stories, each object is carved slowly, with care.

🪵 Handmade & unique
Each piece is shaped by hand, sometimes with carving knives, sometimes with power tools - but always with intention and care.
Nothing is mass-produced.
ᚱ Runes & symbolism
Inspired by the Younger Futhark and ancient Scandinavian symbols. Often mysterious, always meaningful.

🖼️ Gallery (coming soon)
A growing collection of past works and the stories behind them.
Some are inspired by real runestones or legends.
Others are born from dreams, music, or quiet evenings with wood in hand.
